Scriptures on Marriage, Anger and Forgiveness:
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us. (Ephesians 4:32)
Submitting to one another in fear of God. (Ephesians 5:21)
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:23-24)
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having a spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. (Ephesians 5:25-29)
Nevertheless, let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. (Ephesians 5:33)
Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. (Colossians 3:19)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Heavenly Father will not forgive your sins. (Matthew 6:14-15)
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins. (Mark 11:25)
Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (Luke 6:37)
Be angry and sin not. (Ephesians 4:26)
Don’t let the sun go down on your anger. (Ephesians 4:31)
Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. (James 1:19)
Clothe yourselves with compassion, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Colossians 3:12)
